This is a non-championship, non-camping event.
Monte Bennett has graciously volunteered to put on a gate-trials style fun trials at his ranch as a fundraiser for MWVTA. The event is a single day practice event that is free of charge.
It will likely consist of:
- 3 loops
- 10 sections
- Awards donated from New Mexico motorcycle shops
- Group scoring
Gate trials involves trying to get as many points as possible. Each section will have gates worth 5,3,2, and 1 points (11 point max). You get points by completing the section with no dabs or failures and going through the corresponding gates. This makes for a very fun way to allow pople of various levels to compete head to head as master level riders will often get zero points by trying to get all 11 while a novice rider might get 5 points by avoiding all but the easiest gates (the harder the gate the less points).
This venue does not have the room / road to support campers or large trailers.
Please RSVP to Lance Butler or Monte Bennett.
We expect the bulk of the participants to be local NMTA riders and wouldn’t expect our core MWVTA riders to drive from Wyoming, Colorado, South Dakota or Texas for a one-day, non-championship fun event.
