2021 Season Begins in Just Two Weeks!

Are you ready to ride? Is your bike prepped? What else is on your list to get ready for MWVTA’s 2021 Season?

One thing that should be on your list is joining MWVTA with our convenient online form and payment. Another ‘task’ is entering events online – including making your payment. No need to stand 6 ft apart at the scoring table waiting to join or enter an event. No need to worry about bringing exact change or if you lost your checkbook. Just show up, ready to ride. Leaving enough time to catch up with your fellow rider’s off-season stories of course.

Let’s recap why you should join MWVTA:
1. While any rider who is a current American Motorcycle Assoc member can participate in MWVTA events, only MWVTA members receive season points. You start earning season points AFTER you joint MWVTA. The earlier you join, the more events you’ll have counted toward your season points. And yes, you can join at an event and that event will count for you. But make it easy – join online now.
2. Only MWVTA members are eligible for season end number plates and awards. And our VP, Dan Straka comes up with some pretty cool awards.
3. Speaking of awards – only MWVTA members are eligible for the “Thumbs Up” award. An annual, rotating award for a member who has been an outstanding volunteer for the club.
3. MWVTA holds events at the best riding areas in Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming.

A bit of review for our newer members:
Event entry is $25 per day / $50 for the weekend (Sat & Sunday) per rider.

MWVTA uses group checking and riders are expected to stay with their group. (One rider is not a group). Entered riders will be placed in groups by the sign-up/scoring folks – usually by bike class and/or rider skill level. We accommodate group requests whenever possible.

To qualify for season end number plates, members must complete a minimum of 4 events, with the best half plus one of the season’s held events counting toward final season point totals. This year that works out to 8 events counting toward your final season point total – assuming we don’t have to cancel any events. The more events you ride, the better your season placing will be.

We are hopeful that we’ll be able to hold the traditional Saturday BBQ as the season progresses. Unfortunately, we will not be able to enjoy this fun tradition at the San Ysidro event on March 27 & 28, 2021.

So – get your bike ready, get yourself ready – and we’ll see you in San Ysidro, NM in a couple of weeks!
