Due to the Coronavirus the BLM has denied our permit for the season opener at San Ysidro. While BLM suggested a postponement, we feel that cancellation is more appropriate as temperatures will likely be excessive at San Ysidro when BLM determines we can resume normal operations.
This was a local decision by the Rio Puerco field office and is not tied to any overall BLM policy. However, it is safe to assume that all upcoming events are potentially at risk.
Your MWVTA Board will monitor the situation and make adjustments on a case by case basis for upcoming events so please check back here as you plan for other events.
This is a great chance to finish prepping your bikes! All of you TY175 boys should examine your float-bowl o-rings, you Reflex guys should adjust your valves, and you TY80 guys should examine your heads. Thanks for your understanding in these interesting times. Note that we have not received any notice that the San Ysidro trials area itself is closed for practice or other normal activities.
