Part of the fun of riding MWVTA events is the end of season awards. How did you finish – how did your competitors finish? The 2018 Season Awards were presented at the annual banquet this past Saturday. Some of the highlights are:
- Konrad Clark was presented with a special spatula for his dedication to being the grill-master at nearly every MWVTA event in 2018.
- Dan Straka won the Over the Bars award for his work over the past several years in coordinating & obtaining the season number plates, hoodies, and other special awards we hand out. He also makes sure we have hats & shirts for sale at every MWVTA event.
- Door prizes were a big hit – including a drill kit (for lowering/raising your trailer stabilizers) and a Dunlop rear trials tire.
- And of course all the season end number plates were given out.
The only change for the MWVTA Board of Directors was the addition of Mal Brennan as the Permit Coordinator. He’ll work with a team of folks from each state (CO, NM, WY) to ensure our permits are in order.
At the end of the 2018 season MWVTA applied for and was granted an AMA charter, so riding with MWVTA and your modern trials club will be simpler in 2019. Our President, Lance Butler, is working on putting together our schedule for 2019. As soon as the details are finalized the schedule will be posted – keep an eye out for it.
