As I write this article, I’m sure you are all looking forward to riding and competing again. The good news is that we can, with some minor modifications to our events.
First, the dates for the Turkey Rock and Tucker Ranch events have been switched. Tucker Ranch will be held on May 23rd & 24th with Turkey Rock on June 20th & 21st.
Second, for the time being we will NOT be having the traditional BBQ on Saturday. Hopefully we can resume the BBQs later in the season.
Third, we have to make some changes in our sign up process. Everyone is encouraged to use the online sign up to save time & hassle for everyone. Click HERE for the online entry form. Note: online entry will close May 22nd.
For those signing up at the event we will follow these guidelines:
* One rider at at time at the table.
* Please bring exact change or pay by check (write check before hand).
* Print the sign up form & complete it before coming to the sign up table. (Sign up Form)
* Bring your own pen if you need to complete paperwork at the event.
* The 6 ft rule will be observed.
(Online entries for San Ysidro will be transferred to Tucker’s. Please contact Jean Clement at info@mtwestvintagetrials.org if you entered online for San Ysidro and will not be attending Tucker’s).
Fourth, changes for scoring will involve – smaller groups and riders will punch their own cards with their own punch.
These are the highlights of changes we need to make to stay within COVID-19 guidelines for social distancing. Lance Butler has prepared a full list of guidelines for us – please read it so we can all enjoy a fun event.
Trials Guidelines for COVID-19 Social Distancing
The COVID-19 recommendations from our government agencies can change rapidly and we’ll update our event guidelines as appropriate.
In the meantime – stay safe, stay well, and we’ll see you at Tucker’s!
